A very quick look at the UNR desktop on an Acer Aspire One 110L – it’s waaaay better than 9.04 Jaunty, with almost every single thing working out of the box and full graphics acceleration available.

How did you get the battery indicator? I couldn’t make it … don’t know how. After installed, the suspend/hibernate didn’t work while having an SD card inserted nor the battery meter besides the clock in the upper panel

The battery indicator is just a panel applet – gnome-power-applet
Suspend works fine for me, I am using the SSD (not hard disk) version so I don’t use hibernate.

Yes, you can install any torrent client that works on regular Linux / Ubuntu, such as Transmission.

Yes, but by default they open maximised – actually this works well on this size of screen.

yes, I understand, but sometimes it’s good to have this choice, when you eg. want IM over web browser window… looks like viable option for netbooks! thanx for reply

yes, the IM (Empathy/Pidgin) would float over a browser window, for example. I do that a lot.

on aspire one with ubuntu, since 8…. still crash on wireless connection… how do you get the solution for this?…

about to install on a UMPC with a C2D…very nice looking UI but I wish Ubuntu would get rid of the brown theme :S

You can change the teame if you want, there are neutrals and totally gary ones too. I myself like the brown =)

Only thing that I have to critisize in this version is that there is no that ‘classic’ Windows XP style desktop option anymore. Though it’s nothing big but still it may be an issue to someone.
