I have Linux Mandriva dual booting with Windows Vista on my laptop and I want to uninstall Mandriva so I can install Ubuntu. I’ve read similar questions to this and a lot of them said I need a boot CD. Well I only have system recovery discs that came with my computer. I also saw that I could use the Win98 boot Floppy disc. Well my laptop doesn’t have a floppy disc drive – is there anywhere I can get it on CD? Where do I get that? It would also help if you could mention the steps to uninstall it like the commands to type, etc. Thank you so much if you answer.

Bought an Acer 1916W LCD monitor without realizing that my aging desktop’s video card does not support the native resolution even after driver upgrade (Matrox G400-dual, also tried NVidia Riva TNT2) . Dont play games on this machine, but will like to run Vista & Fedora on this machine.

ok i used to ahve windows xp then i bought windows vista and installed it, soo now i wanna install, linux debian GNU, but i here u need to reformat a partition or something? can someone help me?

it just gets to the apple logo and the circle under it spinning, how the hell do I fix this? I’ve tried using the “Other” and “FreeBSD” since I’m using a 32 bit OS… Its still not working =
