NAT Networking – Upload speed very slow on guest computer with VMWare?
Hello,
I have an urgent issue with my VmWare server last version. I have an Athlon XP Dual Core on 64bits and 4GB of ram. I have Debian 64bit version installed on my server. I have installed latest version of VMWare server and created a new virtual machine to install Windows XP. I have configured the network to be NAT Networking on VMWare. The problem is that the upload speed on the guest computer (Windows XP) is extremely slow… ~100 times slower, it barely touches 180kbps.
If I test the upload speed on host computer (Debian) it is around 20mbps…
The download speed is the same on host/guest – around 70-80mbps so this is not affected… Only the upload speed is the problem.
What should I do? I have already re-installed 3 different versions of Windows XP, even personalized ones.
I am looking forward to resolve this issue.
Regards.

youtube better with linux??
I watch youtube vids alot, but they allways pause halfway though and they dont load fast enuff, I have allways thought it was just my connection speed (dsl 6-8meg).
But then I tried opensuse LINUX and youtube worked really well it, the vids loaded fast and didnt pause or anything.
this makes me think its windows thats the problem not my connection, has anyone else experienced this.
