I am using Fedora 3 and installing jabber server for IM chat. while compiling jabber 1.4.4 the error message shows…can you help me out

Hi, I wanted to install ubuntu so i downloaded the iso and then i burned it to a cd and all but now when I put the cd to boot then nothing happens, only windows boots up.
My Bios is all set up correctly and I am running a P4-2.4 Ghz Comp. I just can’t get the damn CD to boot.
If it is possiblye can you pls give me the directory structure of the CD? I mean the way the files are in the main directory of the CD and what size they have? This would be helpfull!

ati radeon 900 driver on ubuntu?

i double click on the file ati-driver-installer-8.21… but then it doesnt install, instead they give me this thing:
Could not open the file /home/jimmy/Desktop/ati-…… using the Unicode (UTF-8) character coding.
Please check that you are not trying to open a binary file.
Select a different character coding from the menu and try again.

My Computer AMD Athon 64 Plaese Help Me.

i have mySQl database files (such as *.frm , *.MYD) in my past linux CentOs and mysql5 .for some reason i should renew installation for CentOs 5.3 and i really need to copy this databases file to my new Linux (and MySQL on it ) to reach the information over it.
tha’ts necessary plz help me ,how can i reach my information in my database file, and i dont have any export or back up file ,

hi again , but my FS is the same (ext2) on centOs 5.3 ,what can i do ?
