Am running Fedora Core 5 (I’ve tried both 32 and 64 bit versions) on the following hardware:

AMD Athlon +3200 64 2.0 Ghz
1 GB DDR RAM
Biostar GeForce 6100 M9 Motherboard
160 GB Maxtor SATA Hard drive

After between 5 and ten minutes of use, it freezes. Keyboard and mouse are unresponsive with my only option to do a hard boot. Any insight you could provide would be appreciated.

I had installed NCTUns on Fedora Core… It worked fine… But now when I tried to install it on Red hat Linux 9.. it got installed successfully… but while opening simulator it is giving error as
Kernel panic-not syncing : No init found.
Try passing init = option to kernel

and while opening linux, it is giving error as
could not start kde init. check your installation.

Please find solution…..

I opened KNode and now everytime I restart KDE, KNode opens too. Help! –Fedora Core 4

AMD Athalon, 1.2G processor, 512MB PC133 RAM, ATI 9800 Pro, 80 G HD space (2HD’s, one 20G the other 60G) loaded with Fedora Core or SUSE Linux OS, CD drive and a DVD/CD-ROm drive.
Incl. 15″ Sony LCD, Keyboard, Mouse, and stereo speakers.
FYI, this is a computer I bought back in 2001, post-upgrades (Which include the 512 MB of RAM, the video card, teh DVD drive and the 60G HD.

I was just curious how to access the a drive from the terminal i’ve tried

cd A: but nothing really works, I’ve tried writing a few different things, but totally not sure what to do, I can access it through the gui, but can’t figure out how to through the terminal, thanks a lot!
