Need to setup a simple wiki for a computer repair shop. Already have an internal debian server, apache installed…

Would like some permissions for admin and normal employees but other than that can be rather simple.

I could just write static pages, but need something with an interface so less tech savey people can maintain the content

Hi. I have a Debian server running and am using it for FTP. It works fantastic. I have Apache running on it and that works well too…however if I type in my domain name ie: www.mydomain.com The web page opens to the directory. If I type www.mydomain.com/index Then the web page opens to the proper page (index). What am I doing wrong? I thought that when it saw index that it would automatically open. I’m sure it’s something small that I’m missing.
Any help is truly appreciated.

I have a Debian samba server and I am using Ubuntu on the client side. Well, I can preview samba share on the debian server ,but Ubuntu can’t access those shares. Everything is setup correctly and all the user/passwords are in the right files on both machines. When I try and mount the shared partition thats on the Debian system from the Ubuntu system it ask for user/pass that works fine,but the mount won’t go through. I tried again and this time it don’t ask for a user/pass and nothing else happens. I get no errors and I still see the shared partition as unmounted. What am I doing wrong. I even used S.W.A.T with no results. I had this setup working before and for some reason it won’t work again. I’ve tried having both machines in normal accounts and (i know stupid) root accounts, nothing. I also set up the Ubuntu machine with a samba server and I can access shares from Ubuntu from the debian side.(reversed everything)The settings are the same on both machines.

Can anyone tell me how can I add an aditional IP on a Debian server?

Im in an office network,my pc connects to the internet through a server that has debian installed, i have unlimited internet acess expect with p2p progs, i have a configuration of a proxy server with address 192.168.2.1 and with port 3128 in my ie settings, how do i configure my p2p progs when they ask about http,socks4,socks5,proxy settings?
