How do you put linux on the samsung behold?

I am not very savvy when it comes to hacking portable gadgets, ie PSP’s cell phones, ipods and so on, but I am savvy enough with linux to know that one of the things that is great about linux is that you can put it on almost anything with a hard drive bigger than a few megabytes. For example I was able to run Debian Linux on a pc older than a commodore 64 very smoothly. And I ran FreeBSD(I know BSD isn’t Linux, but it’s close.) on a 386 for a number of year and it ran smoother than any windows PC on the market. My point is I know that with my 8 gb memory stick my phone is better equipped than a commodore or a 386. So I just need something like FreeBSD that can be installed on my phone, and instructions on how to do it. Can anyone help me with that?

Linux named DNS not responding to outside queries?

I am setting up a new Fedora server based on an older RedHat server and I’m running into problems with DNS. I am authoritative for several domains but can’t get named to respond to anything but internal queries, which work just fine. External queries time out, and named in debug mode shows absolutely no activity in response to an external query. I think this is either a named.conf problem or an iptables issue.

I’m willing to pay for a sucessful resolution to this problem.

Operating System Suggestions?

Not trying to do anything fancy, but do not like the fact that Firefox is Beta. Heard from one that Mandriva Linux is good. Anyone know of advantages ? Other suggestions ? Thanks.

What Linux distro should I use for my main desktop?

I’m experienced in openSUSE, Kubuntu, and Ubuntu, but I was wondering if there was a better one for daily use on my desktop. I don’t do anything special on it since I’m an information security major and use Back Track and Windows for anything I need.
