I’ve installed opensuse on my computer, when the system boots the screen goes blank?

I’ve installed opensuse, after the splash screen, the system goes blank and when I restart and load it again it does the same. How do I fix this!

Sounds like the video card driver is not configured properly. You may have to go to a command line to edit the file xorg.conf. Search the web for that file name to find out more. After it goes blank, you can probably get to the command line by holding down Ctrl and Alt and pressing the F1 key. (And Ctrl+Alt+F7 would put you back to the graphical mode that’s not working yet.) Another good combination is Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, which will put you back to the login screen even when you can’t see what you’re doing.

You will probably have to research your particular video card a little, and might have to download and manually install a new driver for it.

    Good luck.
