? sry but i couldn’t see anything better than linux…
in linux ubuntu i have that but i don’t need to enter a single line of code to put effects to work, im not saying that bsd is bad i’m just comenting because of your description Fancy FreeBSD desktop using Modular Xorg. This stuff isn’t just for Linux kiddies! …i didnt notice the reason why you put this…
It all depends on what you’re striving for. I’d be inclined to agree with you for a desktop installation, but all my servers run BSD. 2 years without a reboot!
rockwizclown – “ubuntu, in my opinion seems better”
Of course you are entitled to your opinion, I will refrain from using terms such as “fuck face” etc. But you sir, are way out of your depth making that comment.
actually, I was stunned by freebsd’s excellent hardware handling, cross-platform tools (runs linux binaries and many windows drivers can be easily wrapped to run natively).
plus, the collossal ports collection which is consistent and provides packages, cvs, source,
whichever install/update method you prefer.
i needed korean stuff so i just went to /usr/ports/korean and typed
pkg_add -r *
went to make myself a sandwich. 20min later, logged into a fully korean-friendly X session.
People, people. Lets just say they are both crap.
