And I won’t even begin to explain the complex manual or the command lines you have to go through to do something that would take much less time in a GUI.
Linux:
sudo get-apt install vlc
enter password
wait for download
Yes, as in much of the background services have been taken out ,a lot of the useless components have been forcefully uninstalled, and what is left is a very fast and very sleek operating system. Did I say something funny?
@WindowzeHacker i used Google – i trawled through thousands of pages to find how to install Flash on Fedora 11, i finally found it on the 21st page you moron, anyway – I have got rid of Ubuntu switching to KDE (openSUSE 11.1) cuz KDE is the best OS to personolize, anyway I don’t know why we are arguing because at least Fedora is Linux and based on crappy Windows
@OldTimeyJunk Oh and something else, I think Fedora and KDE work better – not Fedora and Gnome! Maybe they should try Fedora & XFCE (Excuse me if they do, im to lazy to find out!)
pretty nifty possible on windows yes and i have done it on my windows but u have to use 4 or more programs to get the look its easier with gnome and u dont have to get leftsider or slow ur PC down with windows blinds that the only perks thougth
im on os x now and that looks pretty close. in my opinion, red hat is better than ubuntu. but having used all oses, i hafta say, if youre on a pc, use fadora over windows. its just stupid to use windows really. but if youre on a mac, use os x. everything works perfect and the only thing you would gain is themes. both are unix but my 2 favs are fadora and os x, hands down.

I spent 4 hours trying to install Flash on Fedora
It took 5 minutes on Ubuntu
When I installed Abiword on Fedora – it screwed up my computer
When I install onto Ubuntu – it works pefectly
This is just some of the reasons – there is many many more out there – FEDORA ABOSLUTELY SUCKS…

I think you are MUCH more free to optimize you os on linux (also because its open source). You just need more knowledge to do it than on windows

The only one good think about using windows in my opinion is gaming – there’s a lot of problems with drivers/wine/cedega on linux
